Merry Christmas!

Happy holidays all, Christmas or whatever you celebrate. World of Julie will take a few days off to sleep off an eggnog coma. There will be a new Children’s Book of the Week on Monday, and then posting will likely be spotty next week while all children are at home.

Merry Christmas Julie and family! We had a (semi) slow Christmas here with Erik’s family in Seattle (his brother had to be drastically slowed in the gift distribution). Did you know that there is a Zuzu in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’? She’s the little girl who says at the end “teacher says every time a bell rings, an angel gets their wings”. We watched that last night and I found that funny (We also found it funny that when they show George Bailey what his wife would have been without him- he is quite upset that she is- horror of horrors- a spinster librarian!)

I knew about Zuzu in “It’s a Wonderful Life” but Dave forgot, and then after she was born all these people kept saying, “Zuzu’s petals!” to Dave when he told them her name, and he was majorly confused. I really like the article that was in the NYT recently ( about how it’s not like you really want to live George’s life, and also how Pottersville, with its bars and nightlife, was much more exciting and fun than boring Bedford Falls.
