    I am dreading the time change- Nora is in that in-between stage where she still needs a nap or she is a bear, but when she takes one it keeps her up til 10PM. I’ve been trying to get this earlier, but it hasn’t happened. I hope your experiment works for you guys!

    Christina, if I were you, I might try switching to the time change now, skipping the nap, and putting her to bed an hour earlier. When Henry started having nap issues (or, well, once I accepted it — he always had nap issues), I started putting him to bed at 5:30, and just forgetting about the nap. Of course this means you also can’t, you know, drive anywhere or do anything else that might cause spontaneous napping.

    what is bedtime in your house these days? ours is 7:30, though it should be more like 7 or 6:30 now that the nap is (mostly) gone (he sometimes falls asleep during schoolday, and scott can get him to sleep on weekends sometimes, though I often think it’s a bad idea.

    Ours is 7:30 too. Sometimes it needs to be earlier, even. If everyone is looking like a zombie at dinner, we ferry them to bed asap and read for longer, so it’s sort of like reading/sleeping.
