This combo has been doing it for Eli lately:
- one cup milk
- scoop plain yogurt
- scoop chunky peanut butter
- one banana
- two ice cubes
- squirt of chocolate syrup
I forgive the chocolate syrup because, well, I’m scarfing back the dark chocolate all day long, so I understand him his chocolate needs, but also because it’s a small, small part of an otherwise power-packed smoothie. Blend it all in a blender, drink. It’s very milkshakey and one of those things that makes kids think they’re getting dessert for breakfast.

I have never regretted the not having of a banana in the house more than this afternoon when I read this. I want it for myself. Tonight Wylie ran to me after some time in the bathroom with daddy and said I BRUSHED MY TEETH ALL BY MYSELF! and then about 10 seconds later said CAN I HAVE A BROWNIE?
Well, really, you need something to get the toothpaste taste out of your mouth, and the brownie is the perfect vehicle for such a venture.
funny too, since he’s had a brownie ONCE in his life, about 2 months ago. clearly, rightly, it made an impression!
