Henry has decided that he wants pants with pictures on them. I got him some guitar-print pants, but then he informed me he wanted pants where “things were happening in the pictures.” Does anyone have any ideas that don’t involve me learning to sew? Do they make toile pants for boys?
I’m thinking modified pajama pants. Why are pajama pants so exciting, when all kids do is sleep in them? Are the PJ manufacturers trying to stimulate them before bedtime, I ask you?
Henry’s entire wardrobe is modified pajama pants. Well, I mean, they’re regular pants that are sort of pajamal. (Dave’s entire wardrobe is also very pajamal.) I think the guitar-print pants were supposed to be pajamas, though, and you’re right, I should explore more pajamas that could work as daytime pants.
The Friday before kindergarten started, Henry wanted to wear his pajamas and his Halloween costume all day, and it was sort of sad, because I felt like, “Well, this is the last time you’ll be able to do this. Starting Monday it’s all about conforming.”
