The other day I was working at the computer, and Eli behind me said, “Mom, you’re huge! You’re huge, Mom!” I decided to ignore him rather than go into a whole lecture about how it’s not nice to tell someone she’s huge, and that after you give birth to your third kid sometimes it takes a little longer to get back to pre-baby shape, but I’m working on it, darn it. He kept saying it. I finally turned around, and he was looking at me through a magnifying glass. Oh.
Pretty much on par with Jaya asking me “Why do you have lines on your face?”. Children. They are heartless.
I would have been so tempted to say, “BECAUSE OF YOU.”
